Girlguiding volunteers should understand how to create and use risk assessments, so we can be sure our guiding activities are safe and recognise when situations or plans are unsafe.
This webinar will take you through the risk assessment process.
By the end of the session, you will have:
- Been reminded of Girlguiding’s definitions of what makes a person, place or activity potentially unsafe.
- Looked at the Cycle of Risk Assessments.
- Discussed how risk assessments support the creation of safe spaces and activities.
- Understood why it’s everyone’s responsibility to challenge unsafe practices.
- Explore how to use a risk assessment dynamically through realistic scenarios
