Adventure is a huge part of who we are at Girlguiding Ulster. It's all about facing challenge and risk, it builds confidence and creates a sense of achievement. We are delighted that at our Volunteer Celebration lunch this month, we will be joined by one of Northern Ireland's finest adventurers, Hannah Shields. Ever wondered what on earth the Chief Commissioner does all day?! Our most volunteer role in Girlguiding Ulster is a 5 year term, and most definitely isn’t all tea parties and award presentations! Debbie McDowell, a guide leader from Belfast took up the role in March 2021. We caught up with her recently to chat all things ‘Chiefing’!
