Join our team as an Outdoor Activity Instructor

We deliver fun and adventure to our customers and we are looking for enthusiastic team members to work with us for our 2025 season.

The role of an Outdoor Activity Instructor is working directly with participants of all ages and skill levels, helping to deliver fun and safe adventurous activity sessions.

To be an instructor you'll:

- be passionate about working with young people and helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential

- love the outdoors and want to work outside

- be a great communicator

- be able to use your initiative and work unsupervised

- want to work and be part of a diverse team

No experience delivering outdoor activities is required as we provide all the necessary training needed to fulfill this role.

Training will take place over evenings and weekends during December2024 and January/February2025 with dates agreed with successful applicants. There is a compulsory training weekend 4/5 January 2025 so if you are applying make sure you can attend this.

Our training will cover everything you need to become an outdoor instructor at Lorne. It includes group and behaviour management, leadership, confidence building as well as the technical skills needed to deliver activities such as high ropes, archery, bushcraft and climbing.

We are open 7 days per week and so we have hours to suit a variety of needs. We have evening, weekend and summer work which suits those still studying and also mid week work delivering outdoor programmes for schools.

Casual and short term contracts are available.

Salary: Minimum wage for your age per hour during training period rising with experience and qualifications. Prior experience and NGB qualifications taken into consideration.
