Calling all LEGO-lovers out there! We have been in pieces waiting to announce this amazing partnership! We’ve been building up to it for ages! Ok, enough of the LEGO jokes – what is it we’ve been constructing?!
For the last 7 years, Irish Girl Guides have brought STEM to their units in the most imaginative of ways. Working with LEGO Education, they have been involved in summer LEGO academies and leagues, and have made LEGO Education SPIKE robotics kits available to their units.
This June, we are so excited to host our first ever LEGO Education workshop for leaders, in partnership with Irish Girl Guides.
Join us for a fun afternoon of playful learning, during which you will be introduced to robotics using the LEGO Education SPIKE Essential and SPIKE Prime robotics kits. You will work in small groups to build and code your own LEGO robot and learn how these resources could be used in your units to introduce STEM learning.
You will also be introduced to the FIRST LEGO League Programme.
By the end of the workshop, you will have built up the confidence to construct your own session in your unit! You won’t be able to LEGO of your new-found love of bricks!
This workshop will be led by members of the LEGO Committee in the Irish Girl Guides.
