What is ICE?

Every year, hundreds of girls in Girlguiding take part in international trips which open up a world of adventure, new people and amazing opportunities. Whether you hop across the water to England or fly around the globe to Mexico, there are unforgettable experiences waiting for you.

We understand that not every leader is ready to take on the challenge of an international adventure – and that’s why we have Adult ICE! Adult ICE is a fun 3-stage project which allows you to find out a little bit more about international experiences, and prepares you for what could be the trip of a lifetime! Over three weekends, you will have the opportunity to think about your community, develop your camping skills, increase your global awareness, meet new people – and have fun!

Who can take part?

Anyone Volunteer over the age of 18 who has an interest in finding out about Girlguiding International opportunities and learning more about the great outdoors. They don’t need any previous camp or residential experience. Volunteers must be a member of Girlguiding Ulster and have their Access NI and Safer Guiding complete by the start of ICE. Volunteers must take part in all three stages.
