Unit Support Fund 2026
The Girlguiding Unit Support Fund is now open for 2026. Please review the criteria below before submitting an application. Please upload all the required documentation to prevent delays in assessment.
1.1 CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION
This grant exists to:
- Increase the numbers of girls from poorer socio-economic backgrounds who can access guiding.
- Enable existing young members to continue to benefit from Girlguiding (keep membership stable).
- Expand our provision in deprived areas where we have no presence (increase units).
- Enable units that are struggling financially to keep operating (keep unit numbers stable).
It can be used for anything which will help with any of the above, including but not limited to covering 2025 subscription fees, contributing to the cost of hall rent or subsidising the cost of uniform.
1.2 HOW TO APPLY
Complete this online application form. Please complete it as fully as possible, as missing any information or documents, or including incorrect information will delay processing.
Please ensure your CCNI return is up to date for your unit and state your charity number.
Please attach your most recent bank statement, and your most recent set of accounts with this application.
Please make sure to include your unit bank account details so that payment can be made. THIS CANNOT BE A PERSONAL ACCOUNT.
THIS IS A ROLLING FUNDING, WITH THE FIRST DEADLINE BEING 28 FEBRUARY 2026, AT 4PM. Applications will continue to be accepted and assessed on a monthly basis after this date, until the fund is fully allocated.
1.3 WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
You will receive a confirmation message on-screen when you successfully submit this form. Please take a photograph or screenshot of this.
When we receive your application, we will contact your District Commissioner to confirm your details.
If your application is successful we will contact you by email. Payment will automatically be made to your unit account. We aim to complete this process within one month.
Grant applications will be recorded on GO.
1.4 AFTER PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE
Approximately 3 months after grant payment has been made, we will send you a link to an evaluation questionnaire to complete. The information you give via this questionnaire will enable us to better understand the impact of the funding and feed into our shared wider understanding of how we make Girlguiding accessible to more people.
