We are really excited to be welcoming Girls on Track, delivered by Motorsport UK, to Lorne Estate this August - it's set to be a fantastic experience for our girls!

At Girlguiding Ulster, we're always looking for ways to give girls opportunities that they might not usually get the chance to experience - and this event is another great opportunity to do just that! Experiences like this help build confidence, spark new interests, and show girls that there are so many different paths open to them. Sometimes all it takes is trying something new to discover a real passion!

Girls on Track is all about encouraging more women and girls into motorsport, whether that's as drivers, engineers, presenters, or events management.

On Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th August, we are holding 2 'Girls on Track' days at Lorne for Brownies, Guides and Rangers. Girls will have the chance to try out the mini pitstop rig, have a go at presenting, test their human performance, and much more! It's hands-on, a bit different, and great way to try something new! There will also be a display of rally showcars!

Dates available are:

Tuesday 4th August 2026 starting at 9.30am to 3.30pm registration from 9.15am

In addition to the events at Lorne Estate, Girls on Track will also host a community meet up at the Ulster rally on Friday 7th August 2026. This event will be a chance to meet with other like-minded women in Northern Ireland, and get a behind the scenes opportunity to see what is involved in the rally and to see some cars in action! If you are interested in attending the community hub event at the Ballymena Showground of Friday 7th August (late morning arrival), then please email Jenny.fletcher@motorsportuk.org to register your interest. Please note that there is a minimum age of 16 (no maximum) and anyone under the age of 18 will need to seek parental permission to attend.
