Lorne Volunteers 2025-2026
Lorne Volunteers offers Units and Individuals the opportunity to do something a little bit different.
If you have set your unit a Challenge or are completing the Girlguiding Eco Challenge, then sign your unit up! While activities are aimed at Guides age up, if there are Brownie units out there who would like to do something different, there is the opportunity to for you to come along too.
Any Girlguiding Member is welcome to come along, if you need service hours for Duke of Edinburgh or Queen’s Guide or any other award this is a great way to build them up! Or if you are leader who just want to help at Lorne or maybe have gardening skills it would be amazing for you to come along.
The activities will be mainly based outdoors and can be anything from planting bulbs and trees to painting, and sometimes even decorating Christmas Trees, we will try and let you know before you come what you will be doing, however, sometimes the weather gets the upper hand!
Outdoor clothes, old so that it doesn’t matter if they get paint on, or maybe muddy, wellington boots are always a good idea and a pair of indoor shoes. Bring your packed lunch, but tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be provided.
Lorne is a special place to so many of Girlguiding Ulster’s Members what a fantastic way to build memories in our place, Girlguiding Members making a Difference!
